Oorlogsgravenstichting

    The house painter Johan Joseph Schillings was son of Johan Peter Schillings and Anna Maria Erens. [1#1]
    He was arrested on June 4, 1942 for having distributed De Vonk. On the same day other communists were also arrested in Nieuwenhagen: his namesakes Hubert Peter Schillings and the latter’s son, C.J. Schillings. [2]
    He is listed in the “Erelijst 1940-1945” (Honor Roll of the Dutch Parliament). [4]
