All the fallen resistance people in Limburg
Frederik Joseph Antonius (Frits) Clemens was a miner and football player with the Sittardsche Boys, KNVB Limburg. “The SiPo-Maastricht led a more or less nomadic existence since early September 1944. During their stay in Maasniel in mid-September, Nitsch, Conrad and Fiebig shot three youthful residents of Sittard, F.J.A. Clemens, M.H.F.Schadron and F.M.C.M. Eijck, near the German border. The three had gone to the center of their hometown on September 18 to celebrate the liberation. At that time Sittard was not yet completely purged of Germans.” (Cammaert VIb, S. 623)
