Louis Asselmans

 23-10-1915 Maastricht      21-03-1944 Dachau II (28)
- Maastricht - Unorganized resistance - Forced Labor -

From January 31 to February 3, 1941, worked voluntarily for a few days in Bomlitz, Germany. Returned to Maastricht. From February 27 to June 7, 1941, he worked through the regional employment office at the De Kroon [1] company, which worked in France for the Organisation Todt [2]. From July 28 to September 30, he worked in Maastricht at the De Spinx ceramics factory. [3]
After that, nothing more is known about him at the Regional Labor Office. According to his brother, he was forced to work in Germany at the end of 1941. [1]
Married on February 10, 1942 to Kreszentia Greger in Munich. [4] Since this is a Polish first name, it could be that she also had to do forced labor.
    Arrival in Dachau: February 9, 1944. [5]
Dachau is near Munich, where he probably worked. Why he ended up there we do not (yet) know.

Died of a cerebral hemorrhage, probably as a result of the maltreatment he suffered. [1]
Nothing is known about a grave. [6]
