The photo to the right of Wallace Doss is used by most of the sources below. He is wearing his uniform in it. At fold3.com, that photo is accompanied by the name Wallace E. Doss Sr. so we may assume, that he had a son with the same name.
He was married to Dorothy Harmon Doss, Covington, VA. [1]
Wallace was born on March 16, 1925. He entered the service on Jan. 7, 1943, in Roanoke Virginia.

Wallace died on Sept. 16, 1944 at 11:30 p.m. at the age of 21.
He was a half-track driver. [2]
Wallace had 3 years of High School and was employed in the transportation trades.
Wallace’s remains were repatriated to the United States and buried at Crown Hill Gemetery in Clifton Forge Alleghany County, Virginia [3]
