In St. Gerlachus Church in Houthem, Guy Caelen introduced Mary van Gelder, Piet Cohen and Philip Soesan. Briefly, each told the story of the journey by train at the hand of an unknown uncle or aunt to South Limburg.
There were several resistance groups in Limburg and many individuals who specialized in rescuing Jewish children from the crèche opposite the Hollandsche Schouwburg, both of which served as deportation centers for Jews in Amsterdam. Particularly noteworthy are Jaap Musch and his associates like Herman Stakenborg in southern Limburg and the group around Hanna van de Voort in northern Limburg.
