The Resistance was also commemorated at the celebration of Valkenburg 80 years liberated on September 13, 2014 in Houthem (4th candle: Resistance).
All three of the above people received the Verzetsherdenkingskruis (Resistance Memorial Cross). But there were many more resistance members, including in our municipality, who were entitled to it and yet did not receive it. Maybe someday that will change?
