On Sept. 13, 2014, 80 years later, Roger Zoontjes and Ruud Coenen reenacted Operation Steeple chase on Daelhemerweg. The reenactors of Old Hickory (Old Hickory Historical Military Car Club) met at the Konijnsgracht Arnold Schunck who, just like 80 years ago his father, guided the Americans through Valkenburg. To try to get their hands on the last bridge in one piece.
