Together we remembered the victims, warmly welcomed our liberators and celebrated our liberation together.
Not always things went well.
May this report cause the Mayor and Aldermen, the entire Valkenburg City Council and all those many volunteers who participated in this project to join hands and, as long as there is still a war anywhere in the world, come together at our Peace Flame to spread that message of Peace.
Let us seek together a way to settle our conflicts other than that of physical or verbal violence.
Perhaps then we will succeed, TOGETHER, that the children of our grandchildren, wherever they are in the world, may grow up in freedom and peace.
