Group in front of the entrance of the Heidegroeve

Two days after the liberation of the south of Valkenburg, september 16th, 1944. The Heidegroeve on Plenkertstraat was one of the caves, where the population found protection against the artillery grenades during and after the liberation. A delegation of the Red Cross and others came from Maastricht to help.
