Head of the local food office, opposite the station in (now) hotel Tummers and the C.C.D. (Central) Crisis Control Service, a government agency charged with monitoring compliance with the Landbouwcrisiswet (Agricultural Crisis Act) of 1931. With his support, in particular young men could go into hiding in farms. From him many them received an agricultural exemption so that from then on they could live and work there legally instead of being sent to Germany. That way they were no longer dependent on the LO.
