The fallen resistance people in Limburg
Theo Kranen was one of the victims of the great raid on Wednesday, May 17, 1944 in Helden.
A mini-biography of him can be found on the website Heemkundevereniging Helden: He was a tailor by profession. During the May Raid of 1944, he too was arrested and taken to the prisons of Roermond and Maastricht. Eventually he was sent to the Amersfoort camp, which was known as a transit camp. As a forced laborer, he had to work in Germany near Hanover. On April 26, 1945 returned, seriously ill from the bad treatment and malnutrition. He was admitted to the hospital of Venray, but died there on November 29, 1946.
