Owner of the Hotel Franssen. The Limburgsch Dagblad of May 8, 1962 wrote that he had something to do with the resistance (but what?). His hotel was confiscated by the German army. After the liberation, the hotel was a military hospital for American soldiers. He was a local politician: deputy burgomaster 1927-1931 and 1939-1940, member of the town council 1923-1940.
