The fallen resistance people in Limburg
Jan Meijer was born in Tandjong Pandang, Billiton, in what is now Indonesia.[1] During mobilization he was an officer candidate in the Dutch navy with the rank of corporal, and after demobilization he studied shipbuilding in Delft from 1940. He soon came into contact with an espionage group consisting of Navy personnel through his old connections. A year after beginning his studies, he was captured in Rotterdam in September and taken to Scheveningen. (On September 19, 1941[2][10]) From his last place of stay in the Netherlands, the German prison in Maastricht, he was taken to an unknown place after his death sentence, where he was deprived of life by the bullet. [3] Meanwhile, we know that he was shot in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Oranienburg.
