The fallen resistance people in Limburg
Miner, distributor of De Vonk and De Waarheid, arrested on June 19, 1942, at the same time as Johan Herman Lubben, Janus Nas, Lubbert Bos and his son. Died in the main camp of Neuengamme concentration camp. [1]
Cammaert writes his name Vinerius. [1] This is also how his name is written on the middle wall in the memorial chapel on the Cauberg, see picture on the right. The family tree of the Venerius family contains all spellings, depending on en it is about. For Engelbert Joseph the surname Vienerius is written. [2]
In the telephone directory of Rheine, his birthplace, both names occur. [3]
In the archive of the Communist Party in Limburg there is a file card about him, on which is written Venerius. Otherwise with the same data, so it must be the same person. [4]
In the archives of the Oorlogsgravenstichting (Dutch War Graves Foundation) he is also called Vienerius. [5]
Engelbert Joseph Vinerius /Vienerius is listed in the Erelijst 1940-1945 (Honor Roll of the Dutch Parliament). [6]
