Henricus Hubertus Essers

 ?      ? ?
- NSB - Valkenburg - German Front Soldiers -

    Ysselsteyn

Four young men from Valkenburg did not have German citizenship, but joined the German army voluntarily. The baker Henricus Hubertus Essers (*1916) who used to live on Wilhelminaan probably died in Russia. No details are known. [1.1][1.2]
In the Volksbund’s search for graves (Gräbersuche-online), we find no Henricus Hubertus Essers, but four people with the name Heinrich Essers. It is possible that his first name was "Germanized" in this way. Of these four, there is only one whose place of birth is not given. The other three were not born in the Netherlands. But the first Heinrich mentioned above died in the First World War. [2]
